99 s10 blazer want to get rid of?

I have a 99 s10 blazer and nothing but problems. I have spent over 5000 dollars on it and paid 5000 and it is in the shop every two weeks. My dad wants to buy it for 4000 dollars do you think that is fair? He is going to give it to my grandma. Miles are 150 k. I got the car in 07. I am thinking about buying a 2003 Dodge Durango something that is like 5000 dollars. I do need 4 wheel drive.
