Do you have an idea of what neurological disorder could cause this?

Could it have been some kind of virus that ran its course and that your body in time became immune to? I don't know why, but the word Lupus popped into my mind. Yours was certainly a unique experience, and most frustrating and perplexing. I'm glad that you have made it through that horrible time - hope it never comes back in any way!
