Does the fear of being "killed" by the mortician ever raise morbid fears in your mind?
I'm not very concerned that this happens in our modern society. First of all, rigor mortis happens a few hours after death. You can make it known that you don't want to be embalmed until after this occurs. If you are embalmed, there would be no way you could be trying to scratch your way out of your grave. As far as cremation, the ones in this city where I live don't cremate until after 48 hours after death. As I said before, rigor mortis is a sure sign of death. I would be more concerned if we were in a more underdeveloped country where there are quick burials with no embalming.
