I want to puree some fruit and veggies (for juices or to add to sauces, etc). What kitchen equipment is best?

I would like to recommend an Immersion or stick blender as you can use a pitcher and just "immerse " the blender in to the pitcher and blend, only takes a few seconds and just rinse off with HOT water when done and hang to dry.
